È da anni il punto fermo del biathlon azzurro. Incentivata dai fratelli, comincia a praticare questa disciplina nel 2000. La sua è un'escalation formidabile, che la conduce alla conquista di tre medaglie olimpiche (prima azzurra di sempre sul podio individuale dei Giochi grazie al bronzo nella sprint di Pechino 2022) e ben 12 mondiali (tra cui tre ori individuali ed uno a squadre). Nel 2019 si laurea come prima biathleta tricolore a mettere le mani sulla Coppa del Mondo generale, un traguardo bissato appena l'anno successivo, per un numero complessivo di sei Sfere di Cristallo contando anche il poker di specialità: individuale (2016 e 2021), inseguimento (2019) e mass start (2020). Fuori dal poligono ama la lettura e si rilassa facendo yoga oppure concedendosi lunghi giri in bicicletta. È legata dal punto di vista sentimentale all'ex fondista Stefano Corradini, con il quale spera un giorno di costruire una famiglia. Prima, però, vuole chiudere in bellezza il suo cerchio olimpico sulla neve di casa ad Anterselva.
