Biography

From Brunico, he is one of hockey’s destined talents. His story begins in Val Pusteria and continues at the Salzburg academy, where he refined his notable qualities ahead of the next milestones. In 2023, just after turning 18, he was selected by the Anaheim Ducks in the NHL Draft. In April 2025 he made his debut with the San Diego Gulls, the Ducks’ affiliate club, becoming the youngest goaltender born and raised in Italy to play in the American Hockey League (AHL), the NHL’s development league. A scientific high-school graduate enrolled at an online university, his idol is Jonathan Quick, and he even owns a Los Angeles Kings jersey. He is crazy about American sports—from baseball to basketball—enjoys both classic and modern reading, and one of his favourite authors is the Russian Fyodor Dostoevsky. In May 2025 he was part of Italy’s senior team at the Division I (Group A) World Championships, helping, with silver, to return the Azzurri to the Top Division. Now he is finally ready to have his say on the ultimate stage: the five rings of Milano Cortina 2026.
