Located in Cortina d’Ampezzo, the Cortina Curling Olympic Stadium will host all three curling tournaments at Milano Cortina 2026. Inaugurated in 1952 and originally built for the 1956 Winter Olympics, the venue famously hosted that year’s Opening Ceremony. Its timeless design remains largely intact, having been conceived to stand the test of time. Ahead of the 2026 Games, the stadium has undergone updates to its electrical systems, changing rooms, and accessibility infrastructure.

Throughout its long history, the venue has been the stage for numerous memorable sporting moments—from Carlo Fassi’s Olympic gold in figure skating to hosting the Men’s Curling World Championship in 2010 and the Mixed Doubles Worlds in 2009.

Cortina is considered one of Italy’s three main curling hubs, alongside Pinerolo and Cembra. It’s also the hometown of Stefania Constantini, skip of the Italian women’s team and Olympic gold medallist in mixed doubles at Beijing 2022, alongside Amos Mosaner. Their victory remains Italy’s only Olympic curling medal to date.
