Biography

Until the age of 11, he was a roller skater. In his final year of high school, after growing up at Sport Evolution in Bergamo under Stelio Conti, and in agreement with his family, he left Calusco d’Adda to move to Bormio in the mountains of Valtellina—the ideal place to cultivate a love for ice and, above all, for short track.

His cabinet includes two junior world medals: gold in the men’s 3,000 m relay in 2022 and individual silver in the 1,500 m in 2024—both won in Gdańsk. In January 2025, he was selected for his second senior European Championships in Dresden, where on the final day he was part of the Italian quartet that returned Italy to the top of the continental podium in the team event after 15 years. Away from the rink, one of his other preferred sports is cycling, which he uses both for training and for leisure. Shaped by the stories of the many Olympic medallists within the squad, on the ice of Milano Cortina he cannot wait to carve his own.
